Students at Crickhowell High School have achieved a strong set of A-level results.
More than 40 per cent of all grades were awarded at A*/A, 62 per cent at A*-B, 85 per cent at A*-C and 100 per cent at A*-E.
Courses include Architecture at Cambridge University, Physics at Durham University, Law at Manchester University, Sports Performance Analysis at Cardiff Metropolitan University, Theatre Festival and Event Production at Bath Spa University and English at Belfast University. In addition to university placements, Crickhowell students have secured places on prestigious apprenticeships and scholarships, such as elite sports programmes in America.
Headteacher, Claire Jones said: "I can only applaud Year 13 for their outstanding results. It is wonderful to see students achieve such fantastic academic success whilst balancing super curricular activities and life in general. Grades will guide them but not define them and we are excited for the bright and successful futures that await every individual pupil. Gratitude is owed to our specialist team of teaching and support staff who have inspired and motivated our students to get there, as well as our Governing Body and community."
Head Boy, Joseph O'Farrell, who is going to study Law at Exeter University, said: ”I will be forever grateful for the support and opportunities that I have received at Crickhowell High School and I wish all my peers the very best for the future."
