Builth Wells Rotary Club, based at The Greyhound Hotel, recently hosted a training session delivered by the Llandrindod Division of St John Ambulance Service.
This was the club's first community awareness session for 2024.
The two St John Ambulance representatives, Dan Harper and Sindy Traylor, gave an informative and enjoyable demonstration, endeavouring to train the Rotarians in regard to first aid instruction and the use of CPR.
This included familiarisation with automatic defibrillators, various resuscitation dummies and what to do if someone is choking.
The training was very well received, and on behalf of the club members, a cheque for £150 was presented by Mr Ciaran O’Connell, Rotary President, to St John Ambulance Service.
St John Ambulance is a volunteer powered, charitable organisation dedicated to the teaching of first aid.
