There was a real buzz of excitement at Ysgol Maesydderwen this morning, with Year 11 learners collecting their GCSE, Welsh Baccalaureate and vocational results.
Learners are celebrating some excellent results and personal achievements which includes the following individual successes:

• Samuel Howe – 2A*, 7A, 5B

• Emily Barber – 1A*, 5A, 4B
• Liam Newton – 8A, 3B
• Lola Phillips – 6A, 7B
• Morgan Craine – 6A, 3B
• Molly Byers – 5A, 5B
Headteacher Phil Grimes said: “We are incredibly proud of the positive sustained effort that our learners have applied to their studies. Everyone within the Maesydderwen community is delighted that their hard work has been rewarded with these set of results.
“Today’s results are due to a three-way commitment between staff, learners and parents. I would like to congratulate everyone involved for their part in the achievement of these qualifications.
“We very much look forward to welcoming the vast majority of the year group back to our sixth form in September and wish the best of luck to our learners who are moving onto pastures new.”
