A Mid Wales venue will welcome an international multi genre DJ for a party event next month.
Llandrindod Wells’ Pavilion Mid Wales will host DJ CAL on May 4 for its House Party (9pm - 2am).
DJ CAL, originally from Wales, has an appetite for playing all things house and tech house and has taken a lot of his inspiration from big names such as James Hype, MK, Fisher and Camelphat.
The artist boasts a vast experience in the radio sector too, hosting a residency on a well known radio station for 16 months. He has also played a plethora of radio shows on Kiss FM, Select Radio and Electric Radio.
His passion for music and vast skill on the decks has helped him secure and hold down residencies for two major nightclubs in the party capital that is Magaluf, playing to thousands of people week in and week out.
Three other talented DJs will also perform on the night,
TOMMY T (aka SoundsAboutLight) (aka RAMZEE) and his passion for music was ignited as a child listening to his dad’s reggae and rock, vinyl collection. He started DJ’ing back in 2000 and soon broke out onto the Mid Wales Free party scene. In those days it was all played on vinyl with not a CD or computer in sight.
SCOTT B is a DJ from Newtown. Scott was part of ‘Full Stomp’ and a resident DJ at the Castle, Newtown between 2012 and 2020. Scott also appeared at Crash Fest, Detached with Jason Edwards, and was a regular at the Luna Club nights at the Pavilion.
KIF has been DJing in the area since his teens. A former resident at the Venue, KIF later went on to run his own pub The Llanerch, Llandrindod and is itching to shake off the rust and spin a few tunes, like the old days.
