Kinnerton's St Mary's Church was packed out on Christmas Eve as local children took part in the annual crib service.

During the service, they played out the events of the nativity of Jesus, with the children telling the story and singing several carols.

The crib service has taken place in Kinnerton Church for over 50 years

Mary was played by Rhian Piggot, alongside Martyn Bufton as Joseph. Young Seren Bufton was the baby Jesus.

The angels of the nativity were played by Keira and Bella Powell, Myah Bevan, Isla Young and Cerys Matthews-Jones.

The shepherds were Jack Warren, Jack Hughes, Rhys Dyer, Owen Matthews-Jones and Evan Powell. The group led two real pigmy goats, supplied by Powell Farm, Caebanal.

The three kings were Dougie Powell, Owyn Bevan and Tom Hughes.

Gwen Powell and Elin Young played the sheep.

Lexie Young said the final prayers.

The service was conducted by Rev Ben Griffith and organist Ruth Jones.

Parents, visitors and the wider congregation agreed that it was a lovely festive service, with the church full to the rafters with people.
