Around 100 people enjoyed each other’s company at the Big Lunch, which was organised and funded by Llanigon Community Council, Llanigon Village Hall and Hay and Talgarth Co-op.
The Hall was decorated with the help of committee members, and it was a sight not to be forgotten for a long time. There were competitions for best Coronation cake and best decorated crown.
A royal photo booth was onsite to capture the families and friends enjoying the day and a tree was planted in the grounds of the Village Hall.
A welcome drink was available on arrival and a toast was made and the national anthem was sung after lunch.
A week before the event people came together to give the Hall a spring clean ready for the big day.
William Lloyd County Councillor for the Gwernyfed Ward said: “It was great to see people of all ages coming out to tidy their village hall, there isn’t much left in Llanigon after the closure of the School in 2014 and its great seeing residents looking after what they have.
“I would like to thank all members of the Hall Committee for their hard work and making the day one to remember.”
