At the annual Wales in Bloom award ceremony held in Denbigh in September  Llanwrtyd Wells was awarded the 'Silver Gilt'  award in the Category of Small Village and an 'Outstanding' from the RHS sponsored 'It’s my Neighbourhood' Awards.

Georgie Perrett and Lynn Ball received the Silver Gilt Award on behalf of  the Friends of the Station, The Llanwrtyd Gardening club, the businessess in Llanwrtyd and the residents of Llanwrtyd, all of whom made a huge effort to make the Town look fantastic for the judge when he arrived.

A spokesperson from the village said: "Everyone in Llanwrtyd is delighted with these results which are testament to the commitment and  hard work of all those involved in keeping our Town vibrant, clean and inviting for all who live in and visit the town."
