Reverend Father Neil Hook, vicar of St Mary’s, had a surprise lunch given in his honour to mark his departure from the Builth Wells ministry after seven years.
Revd Hook is leaving St Mary’s to join the clergy in Haverfordwest in west Wales.
The luncheon was served after he led a Palm Sunday procession through the town, which was followed by a Eucharist service.
The congregation included representatives from the Builth Benefice Group of Churches who presented him and his family with a variety of gifts, including a stole for him to wear at his new appointment.
