Brecon Mayor Cll Michaela Davies welcomed Brecon Rotarians, led by their President Carol Herbert, at the Guildhall to receive some of the first copies of their 2024 charity calendar.
The theme of the calendar is “The Waters of Breconshire”.
Rotary President Carol paid tribute to all the photographers who submitted their work which went through an anonymous selection process. The decisions proved very challenging due to the numbers received.
Carol also highlighted that this is the fourth year that the Calendar has been produced. It was so popular last year that the print run has been increased.
This was made possible thanks to the increased support of local businesses and organisations who have sponsored all the production costs.
This means that the income from calendar sales is used to support local and community and voluntary groups through the Rotary Community Chest scheme.
Cllr Davies said: “I am extremely pleased to be able to support this initiative which not only illustrates the beauty of our countryside but, equally important, shows our wonderful community spirit.”
The calendar will be on sale at a number of retailers in Brecon and surrounding areas details of which can be found on the Brecon Rotary website and social media sites.
