The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for rain over Powys for 6pm this evening (Monday, July 8).
The weather warning is in place from 6pm until 3am the following day.
Rain will become persistent and heavy into the evening, and could lead to impacts on travel and infrastructure.
A spokesperson for the Met Office said: “Most of the warning area will see 20-40 mm of rain, with as much as 60-70 mm possible for some areas. Rain should ease from the south during the night, clearing to scattered showers by morning.”
Bus services are likely to be effected in the area with delayed journey times. Spray and flooding is likely to occur and could make journey times longer.
The warning area covers Brecon, Hay-on-Wye, Crickhowell and Ystradgynlais.
