On Sunday, April 20, Brecon Mountain Rescue Team were called to a casualty with a serious leg injury on the Pont ar Daf path of Pen y Fan.

The casualty was treated by ambulance service paramedics before being stretchered off the hill to an awaiting ambulance.

“Great inter team working with Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team assisting the call,” said a team spokesperson.

“We wish the casualty a quick recovery.”

On Good Friday, April 18, the team were alerted to a lost mountain biker in the Llanddewi Brefi area. As the team were mobilising, the mountain biker had managed to locate a road and found their way.

They also received an alert to an unwell walker on Plynlimon on Wednesday, April 16. The team managed to help the lady off the mountain to safety.

Five days earlier on Friday, April 11, the team were called by Dyfed-Powys Police to a casualty with an ankle injury on Craig Cerrig-Gleisiad. The casualty was stretchered off and was taken to hospital by family members.
