Western Beacons Mountain Rescue Team were called out three times this weekend to assist walkers in the Brecon Beacons.
On Saturday, August 12, the team were called out in the afternoon to locate two adults and two children as they became disorientated near Carreg Goch above Dan yr Ogof in poor weather conditions.
Members of Avon & Somerset Search and Rescue Team happened to be in the area and found the missing group during their navigation training session.
Western Beacons Mountain Rescue Team members met the group and returned them to Dan yr Ogof, The National Showcaves Centre for Wales, where they were staying.
The following morning, Sunday, August 13, the team were called out to a female who had slipped and fell backwards near Pont Melyn in the waterfalls area.
Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team assisted the Western Beacons team as they were training in the area.
The casualty was checked over by the teams and transported to hospital.
Following the previous incident, the team were called to the assistance of a danish gentleman on Sunday afternoon as he had slipped and suffered a chest injury at Henrhyd Falls Coelbren.
He was treated on the scene by a team casualty carer and stretchered back to the car park to be transported to hospital.
