Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team were called out to help investigate a report of a missing person believed to be in the Neuadd area of the Brecon Beacons on Saturday, January 20.

One of the team's 4x4 response vehicles and one of their Incident Controllers were deployed to the area.

The missing person received help from passers by and was safe and well.

A spokesperson for Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team spoke about their tenth callout of th new year. They said: "While the vehicle crew made their way through the Neuadd Valley to 'The Gap' our coordinator, in contact with the missing person’s wife, established that the gentleman had received help from passers by and was thankfully confirmed safe and well.

"With our gratitude to the helpful passers by, we returned to base and our homes."
