Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team had an early start this morning (Wednesday June, 28) after being called out to Neuadd Ridge at 6.30am.
The team were contacted by Heddlu Dyfed-Powys Police regarding two walkers.
They had become disoriented in the low cloud across the mountain tops.
Search and Rescue Dog Association South Wales dog handler Josh and search dog Bran went up the mountain to commence the search.
As the rest of the team were gearing up for the search, the team's incident control manager received a phone call from the missing people, saying that they had met with some passers-by who were able to escort them to the footpath they needed to get back to their car.
A spokesperson for Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team said: "Our thanks, of course, to the passers-by for their help.
"Josh & Bran returned off the mountain, we repacked our kit and returned to base & homes for breakfast."
