A murder mystery evening held in Llanfihangel Talyllyn Village Hall on Saturday, October 12 has raised more than £1,000 for the Army Benevolent Fund
The charity supports soldiers who come back from war severely injured, as well as their families to help them get the treatment they deserve.
£1,055 was presented to Ged Murphy, who accepted the cheque on behalf of the Army Benevolent Fund.
With a script from a friend who works alongside Theatr Brycheiniog, and locals playing the roles of five actors, ‘Food to Die’ For investigated how one person ended up dead, encouraging those in attendance to work out clues provided.
The interactive evening was reminiscent of an Agatha Christie story.
The Blackcock Inn provided a three-course meal for those in attendance, with eight people in teams at each table.
The event was a sell-out.
Organiser Magsy Jones said: “I would like to say a very big thank you to Denise and family in the Blackcock Inn for all their hard work.
“Lee stepped in at the last moment to play the detective as my husband was unable to do so. As did Tina, who stepped in to play Lady Horning.
“A thank you to everyone who took part - they were brilliant.”
