A concert in aid of St David`s Church, Llanddewi’r Cwm, was held recently at Maesmynis Hall with local musicians.

Musicians performed a selection of tunes, including popular folk music, operatic arias and  instrumentals

This included banjo by Ami, accordion by Marcia, Penny on the violin and Paul on keyboard and guitar.

Various songs were included for audience participation, who all joined in enthusiastically, with a special tribute to World War favourites including ‘It's a Long Way to Tipperary’ and ‘We’ll Meet Again’.

A version of ‘My Bonnie Lies over the Ocean’ with hand actions for the audience to join in with, also caused great amusement.

A total of £300 was raised and thanks go to all who took part, organised, and supported the event.
