150 runners braved the wet and windy weather conditions to take part in a 5km fun run on New Year’s Eve.
Participants started the run at 6:30pm at Talgarth Town Hall before making their way around the town and up the hill to Bronllys and back.
The run was organised by The Drew Barker-Wright Charity in order to raise funds for the charity. Marshalls made sure the runners knew where they were going and kept them safe.
Runners were required to wear high-vis clothing and head torches.
Once they completed their run, participants made their way inside Talgarth Town Hall to enjoy a salted caramel slice and glass of prosecco to celebrate the New yYar.
The charity’s founder, Melanie Barker said: “The charity is over the moon with the turn-out and support on the night. The run has become a fantastic community event. It’s always so wonderful to see everyone enjoying themselves and starting the New Year in such a positive way.”
