NFU Cymru has continued its commitment towards the Wales YFC movement by sponsoring the Radnorshire Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs public speaking event.
The annual event, which will be held later this year, is open to members aged between 10 and 26. Members can compete in a range of competitions including junior reading, situations vacant, just a minute, junior public speaking, brainstrust and senior debating.
On presenting the £200 cheque at the county YFC Executive meeting, Colin Millichap, Brecon and Radnor NFU Cymru County Chairman said: “I am delighted NFU Cymru has continued to show its support to the YFC movement. Members of this fantastic movement are the future of our industry and NFU Cymru is pleased to make this contribution which goes such a long way towards helping members improve their skills and knowledge of the agricultural industry.”
Accepting the cheque, Adam Rees, Radnor YFC County Chairman said: “On behalf of our members I would like to thank NFU Cymru for their generous donation. Our partnership with NFU Cymru is invaluable in allowing our members the opportunity to participate in competitions that contribute to their ongoing personal development. It is heartening that we can work closely with NFU Cymru, as more often than not we are working towards the same goal within rural Wales.”
