The Old Railway Line Garden Centre has raised more than £1,100 for charity at its recent quiz and curry night.

The event, held on Friday, March 21, was in aid of Greenfingers Charity, which creates well-designed outdoor spaces in children’s hospices, providing life-limited children and their families with peaceful, therapeutic environments.

A total of £1,103 was raised on the night, with £513 coming from the half-time raffle alone.

Retail & Event Manager, Mathew Lewis, said: "We're pleased to have raised this fantastic total and want to say a huge thank you to our local community for coming along and helping us raise such a significant amount for an amazing cause. Your support truly makes a difference."

More than 120 attendees took part in the event, enjoying an evening of trivia, curry, and fundraising.

The Old Railway Line Garden Centre, based in Three Cocks, regularly hosts charity events, with more planned in the coming months.
