ONLINE petitions have been launched to save Glasbury House outdoor education centre from closure.

The decision to close the house was made by the London Borough of Redbride, who own the house and have decided to sell the early Georgian pile as part of an effort to save £70 million over the next few years.

There is a chance that the decision to close the house could be overturned and if successful it would be the second time the facility has had a second stay of execution.

Local residents believe that if around 2,000 names can be collected on two online petitions there's a chance the decision to close could be overturned. There are already more than 900 names.
