Members of the public will be able to have a guided tour, including the opportunity to sit in a police cell, at Brecon Police Station.
Police are hosting the open day in Brecon on Saturday, July 6 which includes the tour which will feature police cars and motorbikes, the station’s custody suite and the cells.
The open day, which will run from 11am until 4pm, will have plenty of activities for children including face painting, sports activities and police dress-up.
There will be officers from specialist police departments including firearms, scenes of crime, and cyber-crime who will be giving internet safety advice.
There will also be other partner agencies and emergency services who work with Dyfed-Powys Police to keep the community safe.
Officers and staff will be available to speak to visitors about any concerns they may have about crime and disorder in Brecon.
Chief Inspector Andy Pitt said: “We’re looking forward to opening our doors to visitors for Brecon Police Station’s Open Day on Saturday, July 6.
“Holding an open day will provide an informal way for people to come and meet officers and staff, get a behind the scenes look at policing and build positive relationships with their local police.
“I do hope the Brecon community will support this event and I look forward to meeting lots of new faces on Saturday, July 6.”
