Pontfaen YFC hosted its annual concert recently, with special invitations extended to Brecon Mountain Rescue and Wales Air Ambulance charities, where funds raised from the club’s tractor run were presented.

The event, held at Brecon High School, was compered by Elin Havard from Sennybridge YFC.

Pontfaen YFC has expressed its gratitude to Erwood, Sennybridge, and Troedrhiwdalar YFCs for their One Plus contributions.

The club also extends thanks to Brecon High School for providing the venue.

A total of £4,000 was presented to Kevin Harding, Fundraising Coordinator at Brecon Mountain Rescue, who was accompanied by Dave Coombs and Wendy Walton.

Kevin shared his appreciation and said: “We are so grateful for your significant £4,000 donation to our voluntary search and rescue team.”

“This is such a fantastic sum, and you can be assured that it will be wisely invested towards our continued commitment in assisting many people each year in their time of need.”

An additional £4,000 was presented to Ann Payne, a volunteer with the Wales Air Ambulance. Ann expressed her heartfelt thanks, commending the club for their efforts and wishing them all the best for future endeavours.

Club Chair Sian Healey extended her gratitude to everyone involved in making the tractor run a success once again, from sponsors and tractor drivers to supporters, stewards, and McCartneys for the use of the market to kick off the event.

Special thanks were also given to Brecon Town Council for donating funds to purchase selection boxes so every child received a gift from Father Christmas.

Last year’s tractor run took place on Monday, December 23, bringing festive cheer and community spirit to Brecon while raising funds for the two vital charities.

The club has raised more than £25,000 for good causes through this event over the past four years.
