Next weekend will see the welcome return of a popular country show to Mid Wales.

Beulah and District Show and Trotting Races will be held on Aberannell Fields, Beulah (LD5 4UU) on Saturday, September 10.

The show’s president Mrs Penelope Bourdillon will officially open the show, which is being held by kind permission of Mr and Mrs M Evans.

There will be something for everyone at the event, including a vintage tractor event. After being judged they will start on their run at 11am before stopping at the Trout Inn for lunch.

For horse lovers, the classes start at 10:30am as well as clear round jumping from 10am to 10:30am followed afterwards by other classes. The Gymkhana begins at 1:30pm.

Sheep judging begins at 11:30am with many breeds including the local Beulah Faced Sheep.

In the marquee there are classes for vegetables, flowers, floral art, farm produce, handicrafts, cookery, cake decorating, produce, craft, art & photography and children’s. All entries must be displayed by 11:45am ready for the judges.

There are also pedigree and novelty dog sections which start at 12:30pm and children’s races running from 3pm.

At 5pm there will be the first race of the Trotting to finish off the day.

There is a grand raffle with tickets available on the day, along with catering, a licensed bar and trade stands on the field.
