A Powys restaurant has been handed a new five-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Caffi Y Plas Cafe, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at Y Plas, Aberystwyth Road, Machynlleth, Powys was given the maximum score after assessment on July 5, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Powys's 403 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 278 (69%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
