YOUNG Farmers throughout Radnorshire are busy preparing for the forthcoming YFC County entertainment competition which will be staged at the Albert Hall in Llandrindod Wells with curtain up on Tuesday, February 26 when Radnor Valley club will be the first club on stage.

Each year the annual entertainment competition rotates between drama, pantomime and entertainment and demonstrates the talent of YFC members in the county. This year the emphasis is on entertainment and nearly all clubs within the Radnor Federation will participate in the week long event in either the full entertainment production, or the One Plus, or the Time to Shine competitions with the top three clubs in each section returning to the stage of the Albert Hall for the final night productions and presentation of awards on Saturday, March 2. The entertainment competition which is in its 47th year will be adjudicated this year by Ian Sarginson. The adjudicators for the Time to Shine and the One Plus competitions will be Shelley Davies and Katie Davies.

Clubs in the entertainment competition will compete for the John and Vivienne Hughes Rose Bowl together with other individual trophies and awards for sections and individuals within the productions.

The winners from each section of competitions will then go forward to represent the Radnorshire Federation in the All Wales Finals at Theatre Hafren in Newtown on March 9/10.

The Radnorshire YFC entertainment competition is supported by Barclays Bank and the individual awards are supported by the Farmers Union of Wales. There are still some tickets available for the week from the Radnorshire Young Farmers Office in Llandrindod Wells on 01597 829008.
