A team of Year 4 pupils from Ysgol y Bannau have won the Gornest Ddarllen, a reading competition for children in Years 3 and 4 throughout Powys.

As part of the ‘gornest’, a group of pupils discussed the book ‘Mira a’r trip ysgol’ by Luned Aaron. The feedback said that the pupils discussed the book confidently and were able to ask questions to each other independently. Arbennig.

The second part of the challenge was to create a video advertising another book. They chose the book ‘Wallace’ by Aneirin Karadog. The feedback reported that the video was full of information and the contributors confident and enthusiastic. Gwych!
