Join Rhayader Players as they take to the stage with their annual pantomime this week.
This year’s production promises to be a treat for all, with three performances taking place at Rhayader Leisure Centre over two days.
The fun kicks off on Friday, January 31, with an evening show at 7:30pm.
On Saturday, February 1, there are two opportunities to catch the show - a matinee performance at 2:30pm, and another evening show at 7:30pm to round off the weekend.
Written by Alison Mead Harvey and directed by Lee Price and Lawry Thomas, this year's spectacular is traditional favourite 'Jack and the Beanstalk' - a fabulous tale of love, adventure, and magical beans!
The gruesome Giant Igyn (Harley Simmons) and his evil partner in crime, Poison Ivy (Stacey Powell) set out to blackmail the King (James Stuart) and his daughter Princess Rose (Emma Coates) into paying protection money to avoid being gobbled up!
All that stands between the giant making a meal out of the royals is an unreliable collection of misfits; from the wannabe hero, Idle Jack (Edie Leafe), dizzy Dame Trott (Keith Fielding) and Dozy Den (Kelly Leafe), to Buttercup the Cow (Logan Wilson & Ruby Powell), Faith the Housekeeper (Gemma Patt) and a whole host of village folk.
Can the good Fairy Cadi (Tara Simmons) help to save the day, or will Giant Igyn have his way?
There’s only one way to find out - make sure to grab your tickets from Hafod Hardware, located on East Street, Rhayader (LD6 5DS).
Tickets are priced at just £8 for adults and £4 for children.
You can also pay for your tickets on the door. Doors open 30 minutes before curtain up.
The official cast photography is by Sam Bibb at Mogwai Media.
