Builth Wells Rotary Club hosted their monthly quiz to a packed venue at The Greyhound Hotel recently.
It proved to be very successful evening, helping to raise funds for Builth Wells & District Heritage Society.
Money raised in the quiz is then doubled by the Builth Rotary and the total allocated to the nominated recipient.
A cheque for £390 was presented to the Heritage Chairperson, Sue Morrison by Rotary Vice President, Hugh Garner.
Ms Morrison commented that the Heritage Society have a close bond with Builth Wells Rotary Club and proudly display the Rotary logo above the Centre’s entrance. She explained they have been collecting items, documents and artefacts relating to Builth Wells for 38 years. She thanks everyone for the wonderful donations which helps to keep the doors open for the public and tourists. They rely solely on donations and grants.
There is set to be a talk at the Centre on Friday, October 11 by Tony Egan on WWII crashes in the area - everyone is welcome.
