On Friday, December 22 Talgarth Fire Brigade teamed up with Santa to bring delight to the young – and young at heart – of the Black Mountains.
Leaving the Station at 5pm, following a secret rendezvous with Santa, the crew made their way on a mammoth circuit through Trefecca, Bronllys, Three Cocks and Felindre, before returning to a rapturous welcome in Talgarth around 8pm.
Veteran Talgarth Town Councillor Mal Dodds and Town and County Councillor William Powell were amongst the local residents to greet Santa. However, pride of place went to popular Talgarth publican, Jane Richards, who is marking her 10th anniversary at the helm of the Bridge End Inn, just off Talgarth Square.
Santa congratulated Jane on marking her 10 years at the pub and Jane extended an open invitation to Santa and his helpers to call by when off duty for a cup of seasonal cheer.
