AT the recent Brecknock Young Farmers’ Achievement day, Sennybridge YFC had a very successful day.
In the Floral Art under 21, Hannah Williams gained 1st place, whilst the craft competition was won by Angharad Jones after creating a commemorative item based on the 100th Anniversary of Roald Dahl, with Nia Havard coming 3rd.
In the ‘On the News’ competition, the team were given a press pack and had to report on a local news story, and second place was achieved by Elin Havard, Iwan Havard and Rhianwen Jones.
In the Group Singing competition, Sennybridge were 2nd with the team comprising of Sophie Jones, Liz Rees and Teleri Thomas.
The highlight of the day was the Brecknock Junior and Senior member of the year competition. The FUW Trophy for Junior Member of the Year was awarded to Nia Havard and the FUW Trophy for Senior Member of the Year was given to Rhianwen Jones.
They will both now go on to represent Brecknock at the Wales YFC Final being held in Port Talbot on March 17.
