Sheep Music returns for a one-day end-of-summer party in Presteigne this month.

‘Summerthing Special’ will take place on Saturday, August 31 at Went’s Meadow Barn, Presteigne (LD8 2BW) from 4:30pm to 11pm.

The day will feature fantastic music, children's activities, a live radio broadcast and excellent food and bar.

Bristol's hottest live act for starting the party and keeping it rolling, Stone Cold Hustle will be bringing their storming funk music to the fore. Fronted by Mr Bon Suis, channelling 70s-era P-Funk grooves with the swagger of neo-soul artists such as D’Angelo and Eliza, the band make music for the singular purpose of good times.

Local legends Poobahs will perform their get down and boogie rock and roll party set as part of the lineup. Expect a seducing mix of genres, ranging from western swing to Celtic fiddle tunes; from Tex-Mex to Dartford delta blues.

Also appearing will be Brecon's dream pop duo Honddu who create a spectrum of exhilarating atmospheres and irresistible melodies using synths, voice and violin. Their music has been compared to Portishead and Kate Bush and influences include Jenny Hval, PJ Harvey and Broadcast.

The event will include a live radio broadcast from local author Ian Marchant’s Radio Free Radnorshire with his chosen tracks, live music, games and in-depth interviews. There will also be children's forest school activities, a bar and great food stalls.
