A FARMER has been left devastated after two dogs massacred his new born lambs.

Forty lambs, born just weeks ago, as well as six ewes, were left mutilated on Good Friday when two dogs, a collie and a German shepherd, jumped fences and caused chaos at Ray Price's Penybanc farm just outside the village of Howey, near Llandrindod Wells.

Although only 10 of the one-month-old lambs were declared dead after the frenzied attack, most were left injured and bloody.
