Llanwrtyd Wells’ firefighter have been named the best in the area at a recent award ceremony.

The Llanwrytd crew were awarded the Station of the Year Northern Division accolade at the ‘More Than Just Fire Awards 2022’ which were held at the Stradey Park Hotel and Spa in Llanelli.

The Northern Division comprises of 25 stations across Powys and Ceredigion, and the Llanwrtyd crew came out on top.

Thanks to an outstanding effort the firefighters at the station were commended on maintaining exemplar availability 24/7, year on year, delivering their core duties and providing much needed co-responder emergency cover for the community of Llanwrtyd Wells.
