James Evans says he is proud to once again be supporting Small Business Saturday for 2024.
With the UK Government’s recent changes to employers’ National Insurance and the rise in the living wage, the Brecon and Radnorshire MS has stressed how important it is that our small and medium-sized businesses are sufficiently supported, by both Government and the public, to ensure they remain viable.
“As we head into the festive period, it’s really important that we all come together to support our small and medium sized businesses on our high streets across Powys,” said Mr Evans.
“These businesses are run by hard working people who pour their life and soul into them - they are the beating heart of our communities.
“With Labour’s changes to employer National Insurance contributions and the increase in the National Living Wage, it’s imperative this Christmas that we shop local and give our local entrepreneurs that much needed boost they so deserve.”
“My Welsh Conservative colleagues and I will continue to do all we can as an effective opposition to stop Labour’s National Insurance Jobs Tax,” he added.
