A pub in Bannau Brycheiniog National Park has been named one of the top five pubs in national parks across the UK.
Experts at holiday cottage company Wheelwrights have analysed reviews from Tripadvisor and Google Reviews to reveal the top 10 national park pubs in the UK.
It found that The Tai'r Bull Inn in Libanus comes fourth for customer satisfaction and an enjoyable experience.
With an average Google rating of 4.5, The Tai'r Bull Inn isn’t far behind the pub that placed first, The Black Venus Inn in Exmoor National Park, which scored an average rating of 4.8.
Reviews found on Google note that The Tai'r Bull Inn has delicious food and friendly staff. Others have praised the pub for its warm and cosy atmosphere and the welcome they receive whenever they visit.
Katie Coop, who helps run the pub, told the Brecon and Radnor Express: “We were delighted to have received the email informing us that we have been recognised for our fantastic reviews received from our lovely guests on Google and TripAdvisor.
“To be named in fourth place - one of the top five best pubs in UK national parks - is a phenomenal achievement and I am immensely proud of our wonderful Chef Irish, my girls and the rest of the crew.
“We couldn’t do what we do without our fabulous guests who support us day after day with so much love and kindness, so thank you to everyone who makes The Tai’r Bull what it is today.”
The family-run pub is no stranger to success, having already been named Eatery Of The Year at this year’s Welsh Independent Retail Awards.
Katie and her family took over the pub when it was closed in 2021 following Covid, and have overseen it going from strength to strength.
