Whitney Toll Bridge on the B4350 is currently closed for safety checks after a HGV was speeding over the bridge.

The toll bridge is on the road that links Hay-on-Wye to Whitney-on-Wye.

A spokesperson for the bridge said: “The bridge is closed until further notice due to a HGV speeding over the bridge. We must complete a safety check!”

The bridge is one of few privately owned Toll Bridges in the UK.
