Scotland’s Dave Arcari teams up with his Estonian pal Andres Roots for an exclusive double-header St David’s Day show for Mid-Wales Rhythm & Blues Club at The Muse, Brecon on Saturday, March 1, 2025.
The pair have been pals since 2005 when Roots invited Arcari to Estonia to headline the Augustibluus Festival – the biggest blues festival in the Baltic states. Subsequently, they have arranged dates for each other in their respective countries on an almost annual basis as well as collaborating on recordings and various other projects.
Arcari made his Brecon debut last year with a sold-out show for the club and is looking forward to his return.
“It’s great to be coming back to play for the club – and even better to be sharing the bill with my pal Andres,” he said.
“He’s a fantastic player and we’ve been pals for 20 years. We’ve played shows and festivals together throughout Europe and Scandinavia but this is the first show we’ll have played together in Wales.”
Arcari has just started recording what will be his eighth full-length solo album thanks to his recently launched Kickstarter campaign which has already reached its target.
“I’m so grateful to everyone who has backed the new album project on Kickstarter,” he said.
“We hit the target after just eight days and funds from further backers in the period ’til the campaign ends (March 8) will go toward promotion of the new work.”
He is also busy putting together music for film and TV worldwide. His work has featured in hit US series The Deadliest Catch and closer to home in numerous BBC TV productions.
Arcari is an official artist for Newtone Strings, Reunion Blues gig bags, Diamond Bottlenecks, G7th Capo and National Reso-Phonic Guitars who launched their ‘Dave Arcari signature’ instruments in 2019.
