An unidentified four-legged creature has been captured on a trail camera set up in a Mid Wales forest.

The frames were taken from a camera that was set out by Glasfynydd Forest on the western side of Bannau Brycheiniog National Park, although this has not been verified.

Luke Martin sent in these images and has appealed to the readers of the B&R to help identify the animal.

Is it just a big household cat or something else entirely?

Mr Martin has posted the images to Facebook, with some speculating that the animal looks like a lynx or a different big cat. One Facebook user joked that it could be a tiger.

The lynx is categorised as extinct in the UK and a tiger really would be a turn up for the books...
