Rewneable energy developer Bute Energy has donated a thermal drone to Brecon Mountain Rescue Team.

The drone will help to keep the team safe and improve their search operations.

After making the donation, Bute Energy were invited to a demonstration of its capabilities and a tour of the rescue centre.

The company has now produced a short film with Brecon Mountain Rescue Team which takes a look at the essential work they do and demonstrates the drone’s ability to assist the team in operations.

The film has been produced, in part to generate further donations for Brecon Mountain Rescue team to the wider public and viewers will be directed via a link to their JustGiving page.

Ashley Stamford-Plows, Chair of Brecon Mountain Rescue Team said: “Brecon Mountain Rescue Team is a voluntary organisation, wholly dependent upon donations and fundraising from the public and from donor companies and sponsors.”

Mark Jones, Team Leader at Brecon Mountain Rescue Team said: “This drone will benefit the team in lots of different ways, we are sometimes required to search rivers and this will keep our team safer and conduct a more effective search with the drone.”
