Schoolchildren from Brecon took to Bethel Square this morning to perform a series of welsh songs in celebration of St. David’s Day.

Hundreds of people filled the square to watch and join in with the singing. Schoolchildren from Ysgol y Bannau, Ysgol Cradoc, Ysgol Pont Senni, Ysgol Llanfaes, Ysgol Uwchradd Aberhonddu, Ysgol Priordy and Mount Street Junior School took part.

Bystanders enjoyed performances of the welsh national anthem, Hei Mistar Urdd, Calon Lân, and Yma o Hyd.

The schools then progressed down towards y Gaer, singing on their way in their St. David's day procession.
