Visiting restrictions on Gilwern ward have been lifted at Hereford County Hospital.
The Trust closed the ward to visitors following a confirmed case of norovirus at the end of last week.
However, a spokesperson for the hospital said it still remains very important that any visitors with diarrhoea and/or vomiting do not visit the hospital until they have been free of symptoms for 48 hours. Visitors are also requested to practice good hand hygiene and use the alcohol gels available in all wards/departments.
The spokesperson added: "Wye Valley NHS Trust thanks all patients and visitors for their understanding during this period – the restrictions were put in place to protect patients as part of the Trust’s zero tolerance approach to healthcare associated infections."
