A Powys-based conservation group is hosting a volunteering day to help carry out a range of essential tree maintenance tasks at a wood near Dolau, Llandrindod Wells.

Volunteers are welcome to spend as much time as they want helping the Wilba team on Tuesday, July 30.

The day starts at 10am with a woodland walk, plus tea and cake. 11am onwards is tree maintenance.

Wilba has the aim of working with farmers and landowners to encourage and conserve nature by creating, protecting and connecting pockets of habitat on marginal areas of land.
