Many locals took to the River Wye in Glasbury for the annual Boxing Day dip on Tuesday.
An explosive display at midday sounded the start of a dash towards the river as around 30 to 40 people took to the chilly water for a brief swim.
A crowd looked on, most with large coats and towels in hand, ready for their friends and family members to emerge from the water.
The tradition is believed to have been going in the village for over 10 years.
