The Christmas season at Wyeside Arts Centre in Builth Wells was full of mysteries.
A ‘Secret Cinema’ with a succession of weekly clues suggested what a mystery film might be. All anyone knew for certain it was a U film with a Christmas theme. Week by week, more clues arrived – and the answer came on the day– a family showing of The Muppet Christmas Carol!
There is a further mystery. To celebrate the new film ‘Wonka’, Asda in Builth donated 100 chocolate bars for a lucky dip, but only one of the bars contained a Golden Ticket! The new mystery is – who won it?
If you found the golden ticket, bring in your golden chocolate wrapper to the Wyeside Arts Centre to claim your family prize!
There’s more. Every Tuesday and Wednesday 11am to 3pm there is a free warm space to enjoy a hot drink, craft activities, games, bingo and free films; and if everyone comes along to the fundraiser live performance ‘Gershwin in Hollywood’ at 7.30pm on Saturday, January 27.
You’ll find that Wyeside is ‘much more than just movies.'
