An 87-YEAR-OLD rambler has been taken to hospital after falling on a mountain path above Crickhowell.
The woman fell on the Table Mountain Path shortly after 2pm today and Dyfed-Powys Police attended to assist the ambulance service after the woman hit her head.
A police spokeswoman said: "A call was received at around 2pm asking police to assist the ambulance service with an injured walker on a mountain track in Crickhowell.
"An 87-year-old woman had slipped while along the path and hit her head.
A PCSO and PC attended and helped the ambulance crew in moving her from the path to an ambulance to be assessed."
The woman, who isn’t thought to be local, was taken to Nevill Hall Hospital in Abergavenny by the Welsh Ambulance Service.
