Two recent darts tournaments in Penybont have raised £505 for two local good causes, thanks to the efforts of The Llanbadarn Ladies Darts League.

Held at The Severn Arms, the two tournaments attracted local players and provided plenty of excitement, with funds raised going towards Powys Diabetes and Llandrindod Wells Leg Club.

Tricia Powell, who accepted the donation for Powys Diabetes, and Sarah Miles, who received the funds for Llandrindod Wells Leg Club, both expressed their gratitude for the community's support.

In the competitions, The Eagle Seagulls came out on top in the league team games, while June triumphed in the singles event. June and her teammate Lucy took the doubles title, and Laura Bevan claimed the prestigious Rose Bowl.

Meanwhile, The Rejects team from The Severn Arms found themselves on the receiving end of the Wooden Spoon, awarded to the team with the lowest score. The trophy, donated by The Lion Hotel in Llanbister, was given in memory of Mrs Jenny Thomas.
