BRECON Northcote FC, took the brave decision at its recent AGM to create a new Youth team this season.
This followed the high number of players who signed up last season for the senior team, which itself had only been in existence for two seasons.
After successfully applying to join the East division of the South Wales youth league, Brecon Northcote have already secured their first win (3-2) away against Caerphilly side, Llanbradach and draw (3-3) in their first match against Pontypridd side, AFC Graig.
Although always on the look out for new players, the squad has a healthy number of players, some of who have already forced their way into the Northcote senior side. The forthcoming season promises to be a difficult but exciting time for the club, being the only youth team in the league from Powys.
