BRECON Northcote have penned a sponsorship deal with Beacon Foods, one of the UK’s leading ingredients manufacturers, which is based in the town.
Jeff Davies, from Beacon Foods, said the company is delighted to be sponsoring the football club and wished them well following their promotion into the Spar Mid Wales League Division Two.
The sponsorship was unveiled ahead of Northcote’s first home match of the season, at the Brecon Sports Association Fields, near the Watton, on Saturday.
As well as a new kit, supporters also saw on display the club’s investment in new goal posts, new pitch barrier and new dugouts.
The home side secured a hard earned 2-1 win, in the league, over Dyffryn Banw from Montgomeryshire. Former Cardiff City academy player Glyn Hobbs got both goals for Northcote.
The club has more than 50 players registered and is running senior first and senior reserve teams as well as a youth team.
Anyone who would like to join the club can contact head coach Tony Thornley on 07854 012841 or just turn up for training at the BSA Sports field on Wednesdays at 6.15pm.
