Builth Wells are the only of our three local sides in the Ardal League North East to apply for a Tier Two Licence for the 2025-2026 season, writes Paul Worts.

The Bulls have probably dropped too many points to finish in the top two which would make them eligible for promotion or a play-off place but have nevertheless signalled their ambition.

Other clubs from the Ardal League North East to apply are Brickfield Rangers, Dolgellau, Kerry, Llanfair United, Llanuwchllyn and Penycae.

Knighton Town will hopefully be playing in the Ardal North East next season and have duly applied for a Tier Three Licence along with Rhayader Town. They are the only two clubs from the MMP Central Wales League (South) to apply while in the north division, Berriew, Carno, Forden United, Four Crosses, Llanrhaeadr and Welshpool Town have submitted applications for the licence.
