Corey Evans converted a 93rd-minute penalty to earn Brecon Corries a dramatic 2-1 victory over Tredegar Town at the Rich Field on Saturday afternoon.
After a goalless first 45 minutes, the Ardal South East fixture ignited into life in the 76th minute when Joel Evans jumped highest at the far post to head home from a Craig Evans corner.
But the advantage only lasted until the 82nd minutes when a Tredegar Town corner was only partially cleared. The subsequent cross was delivered into the area by Lewis Parfitt and headed in by substitute Lewis Hitchcock - beyond the reach of home goalkeeper Declan Gaydon.
It appeared both teams would have to settle for a share of the spoils, after Corries substitute Andrew Hamnett headed wide of the target from an 84th minute corner.
But there was one final twist as Ashley Thomas pointed to the spot and Corey Evans fired past Andrew Hargreaves to secure all three points for the Rich Field club.
